SANTO DOMINGO- Monte Plata will host the "Tourism in Every Corner" program this first weekend of September, an initiative that seeks to discover and showcase the attractions of the various areas of the country and is implemented through the Ministry of Tourism (MITUR).
On Saturday, September 2nd and Sunday, September 3rd, the promotional activity will move to the sanctuary of the Holy Christ of Miracles in the municipality of Bayaguana, one of the most emblematic cultural and religious temples in the province.
The promotional platform presents to the participating public its interest in encouraging domestic tourism and, with it, the offerings that complement these tourist territories, highlighting the crafts, culture, folklore and gastronomic and culinary roots that represent each Dominican destination.
MITUR highlights in a press release that the promotional platform involves the main actors in the territory's value chain, thereby fostering sustainable management and development.
It indicates that Monte Plata, as a tourist destination, has countless elements that make it be considered throughout the country as the Emerald province because its landscapes and mountain systems always remain green throughout the year, allowing the visitor to explore tourist experiences in natural spas, waterfalls, caverns with underground rivers and rock art.
Similarly, it has architectural monuments from the colonial era, magical-religious and cultural traditions linked to pre-Hispanic and colonial history.
